The long-awaited Stations of the Cross arrived in Raleigh in December 2009 from the closed Church of St. Stanislaus in Lorain, Ohio.

About one hundred years old, the fourteen plaques are quite beautiful and are in remarkably good condition. Some nicks required delicate attention, and the artist who restored our St. Anthony and St. Gerard statues visited in December for two days of restorative work.

An extensive search for fitting stations for St. Joseph’s was ongoing for well over a year. Brad Griffith was relentless in his checking websites of Dioceses and dealers having goods from closed Churches.

All those who have seen this set much cherished by a dispersed Polish congregation confirm that the Stations should meet well the expectations of our people. They were worth waiting for!

Ray and Kathy Kelling brought them—as well as the glorious holy water stoup—down from Cleveland.
