The goal of the Building and Grounds ministry is to provide safe, attractive and well-maintained facilities for worship, ministry, fellowship, and other activities that reflect the life and identity of the parish.
To fulfill this goal, the ministry has two functions - maintenance of both the building and grounds, and landscaping - which provide unique and rewarding opportunities for volunteers.
The chairperson works with various vendors regarding specific repair requirements such as plumbing, electrical work, and routine building maintenance. Qualified volunteer parishioners assist on a part-time basis to accomplish the many tasks necessary to keep our church beautiful and inviting.
Skills needed include: Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, equipment repair.
The landscaping function develops and implements beautification plans for the church grounds.
Skills needed include: Gardening, yard work.
